Day 64

Picture Fall: Day 31
"thankful"

Thankful for the journey of Picture Fall, my little munchkins, simple moments like this and my beloved camera capturing them forever :)

Day 63

 Picture Fall: Day 30
"Fantasyland"

Rainy Halloween weather sent my fantasy of getting some good pics of the kids outdoors right out the window.  This has gotta do.

Day 62

 Picture Fall: Day 29
"sweet relief"

I think I've been taking this notion to an extreme, more along the lines of addiction.

Day 61

 Picture Fall: Day 28
"the great pumpkin"

supposed to try capturing a pumpkin in a different light, angles, etc.  I like the stem and grooves of the pumpkin looking like a star burst!

Allen Family

Everyone should be a bit more like the Allen Family.  That is not just going up here for blah, blah on the blog.  It is true.  Easy-going, super friendly, happy people who made my experience shooting them a comfortable and a good one to remember.
 "excuse me, i'm just textin...."
ha, ha the cell phone and him was just a picture for kicks, but i like it!
I love this picture!  Seriously guys, very minimal editing.  Whatever she is doing with her skin I need to know.
You all know how most guys feel while getting pictures taken (no offense men), right?  Right?  Well, this Dad was not that way or at least did a good job fooling me.  He instead cracked jokes left and right, which made the whole experience fun!
So, I have to tell my embarrassing moment....calling this guy Kyle for about half the shoot!  Jenny, the mom, finally put her hand on my shoulder and told me his name is actually Nate.  I still had a hard time keeping it straight, geez! He was a good sport about it.  They made me feel better by saying it got them laughing!  Maybe a tactic I should use every time for those real smiles?  But isn't this picture of "Kyle", err Nate, great.

Here is a picture where I must of been telling "Kyle" get in closer?  Look at those laughs!  This along with the one below are my two favorite images with the genuine expressions and were the very last family snapshots we got!
Thanks Allen Family for being so awesome, having me shoot your family and your patience to see your sneak!

Day 60

 Picture Fall: Day 27
"Leafy Love"

My leafy love's were covered in snow this morning :( Made for some wet, vibrant leaves though :)  I'm hoping Fall will stick it out for few more weeks.

Day 59

 Picture Fall: Day 26
"open heart, open mind"

Day 58

 Picture Fall: Day 25
"Fall Colors"

Hands down my favorite thing about Fall this year is the colorful leaves blanketing the roads.  Noticing it everywhere.  Slightly obsessed, but love the cozy, warm feel it brings to the dark streets.
(its another indecisive day, which pic do you like better?)

Day 57

Picture Fall: Day 24
"Family Matters"

"Figure out how to use your self-timer.  It's the season of gratitude; show how grateful you are for your own family unit, whatever it looks like.  Many women want to wait until everything is perfect before getting in front of the camera.  But time ticks away and perfect never comes.  The right time is now."

I liked the insert above very much.  Family pics, even self-timed, are something I want to do more of.  It is lazy Sunday at our house.  We're not made up, but just us.  And since it is raining out, it is especially cozy!

Day 56

Picture Fall: Day 23
"The Rhythm of Repetition"

Day 55

Picture Fall: Day 22
"darks and lights"

the assignment was geared more towards an outdoor, autumn silhouette and the transformation of the days sky from light to dark .  It has been crumby weather, flat light so we stayed indoors.  Another day I will attempt that, for now its my girl and a book.

Day 54

 Picture Fall: Day 21
"serving up kindness"

Day 53

 Picture Fall: Day 20
"connections"

getting a double whammy with this picture right here.  First, the obvious, puzzle being connected together.  Second, showing the strong sibling connection they have by playing together 24/7.

Day 52

 Picture Fall: Day 19
"scattered"

I wanted to be creative, but it wasn't happening.  Leaves and toys were the only thing popping in my mind.  Blah, blah, ba-ba-blah.

Day 51

Picture Fall: Day 18
"muse"

My muse is light.  Always inspired.  Always inspiring.  Whatever type of light there may be, I'm aware.  When it is good, it makes my heart sing.  This star sits in my bathroom window and was literally lite up by light.  It caught me instantly.

Day 50

Picture Fall: Day 17
"Bounty"

Oh man, my laundry is always endless, but as the cooler months have come and we layer on more clothes- it is just ridiculous!

Day 49

Picture Fall: Day 16
"Juxtaposition"

this lone ranger holding on for dear life, caught my eye from afar almost as a field full of blooms would've.

Day 48

Picture Fall: Day 15
"mid-month message"

"seek out a message".  I'm a firm believer life is all about perspective.  I'm going with half full.
...and check that out, compared to last time I got minimal window glare on that glass.  practice make perfect :)
