i love his hair :)
Day 92
the measly "biggest storm of the decade" we had last week just got booted by the storm we had this weekend. can't believe all the snow we got! yay!
Day 88
the only picture i took on Thanksgiving (shame on me!) was the husband warming up for our bake off with a few curls. This was our first turkey we have cooked and the gobble turned out moist to perfection.
Pohlman UTES
these three boys happen to be die hard Ute fans. So, I was excited when I heard the idea of heading to the Rice Eccles Stadium decked out in fan gear. Aren't they cute? They are my best friend's, from elementary, nephews. Who has turned into the best Auntie!! I imagine every mother would be thrilled to have pictures of their kids without dealing with the whole stressful ordeal- I would dig that surprise! This wasn't really stressful though, just extremely cold.
I love shooting kids who are about the same age as my kids. Fun to see how similar they can be just because of age alone. "C" was pulling all sorts of poses for the camera, just like my Ava does, and they were good ones.
The thing I love the best about this picture is how ungraceful it is- little boys clomping up the stairs.
The older boys faces are classic and then little "O" just trying to keep up with the gang
if i remember right, i think these boys are all 21 months apart. can you imagine the silly memories they are going to have growing up together?
Trying a bit a panning for fun to make them look as speedy as they are :). kinda worked? sorta?
I love the big ole' crooked helmet on his sweet face
"Say what? I'm cute? I know"
Well boys, thanks for putting on those blue jeans for the special occasion and being so darn good. It was fun romping around with you and your awesome Auntie!
Day 86
i'm constantly looking at this big tree out my kitchen window and i love watching it change with the seasons.
Day 85
I had lots of pictures to choose from today, but couldn't pass this one up! Busy taking pictures of the two other kids and turn around to see him climbed up here. Little stinks are smart and learn fast! I couldn't take it away just yet. I think he was trying to be sneaky and knew it was a "no,no". He was guzzling as fast as he could, it's even dribbling down that squishy belly.
Day 84
J-bear is getting hair!!!! I love this picture well, because he is cute and has the biggest eyes, but mainly because it shows Cruz in the way sitting right by him. When Jude is at our house he gets loads of attention and rarely has a moment by himself. It's bound to make him a social butterfly.
Day 83
One of my favorite things about snow is how it makes the night sky glow. So I was giddy when I opened my door to see the winter wonderland. I had to call the kids down and we watched as the flakes peacefully fell without a soul seemingly in sight. Discussions of the green grass disappearing, Christmas tree farms, if Santa was in the sky and if we could make a snow angels first thing in the morning, all arose. This was taken at about 11pm and is straight out of camera. I have no idea why it is glowing peach other than it was underexposed, but I liked it.
Day 81
salt lake city has had some crazy, pull of the side of the road, beautiful sunsets the last two nights.
Day 80
his imagination and vocabulary are killing me these days!
call me cwazy, but for some reason i love this pic too
Day 79
I follow this blog called the Daybook. She did a video tutorial on the top knot trend or in her words "Audrey Hepburn/Carrie Bradshaw" bun and asked people to send in a pic. Mine isn't as high or as big as hers, but realistically probably all I can pull off!! Felt so dorky taking a self portrait, but I'm playing along cause I liked the tutorial and her :)

Feel like I just got my hair colored, but apparently my regrowth speaks otherwise! Anyway, I did this "do" in about two minutes, so would touch it up bit to go out. Pair with some shimmer and I think you got the perfect holiday ensemble.
So I wanna know, you guys a fan of buns (low and high) or are they too "school teacher" for you to wear?
Day 78
we look outside our kitchen window at this big old tree in our backyard. The bark seemed to grow full of green overnight. super pretty!
Schaar family
Ashlee and I go way back to the high school days- full of fun, freedom and drama. Oh man...the days!!
I thought I had met the most active kid ever to exist, my Slade. No, no I came to find out the Sienna is even busier!
There is a first for everything and she tested my skills tremendously. She likes to run from here to there, there to here and then back again. But with her Matilda Jane dress, did so adorably! I love the picture above. I didn't plan to have Ashlee's back in the frame, lets be honest I didn't have time to plan much, but her in it makes me love the photo even more. Look at that face running to mommy! beautiful green eyes- both these girls
this is one of my favorites
and....
we're done...hehehe, had to post that! I loved the exceptionally candid nature of this shoot and Sienna's full-of-life expressions. Thanks Ash and family, it was fun to catch up with you!
